What an amazing last few months we’ve had as a team! Finishing off the 2018-2019 season with the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, Texas was an absolute blast! In our team’s second time in Texas, we were placed in the Carver division of the championships and participated not only with local teams from the PNW but also teams from other states and even other countries. In the placement matches our robot performed well and we managed to get chosen for Alliance 5 as we moved into the quarter finals. With rookie team 6443 “AEMBOT” as our backup and teams 1746 “OTTO” and 7426 “Pair of Dice” Robotics, we managed to play into the quarter and semi finals before eventually being eliminated in the Carver Division finals. Despite this, the team still had a great time and we kept our chins held high as we exited the school year shortly after. Over the summer, StormBots took part in numerous community and sponsor outreach events like the Recycled Arts Festival and most recently a sponsor appreciation conference with ConMet. We are starting off this season strong, and with two visits to Worlds under our team’s belt, we are sure to be having a great year!
