Wilsonville 2019
Hello everyone, I’m going to give a quick recap of Saturday’s events for our team at Wilsonville. Please note that, while this was my first ever competition, I was volunteering as field reset, so I was watching the action right up close. In our first match, our alliance consisted of team 7032 Raptors, team 6831 A-05 Annex, and ourselves. We were up against team 1359 Scalawags, team 5085 LakerBots, and team 847 PHRED. In this round, we successfully climbed to the top level. In the end, however, we lost this match 62-23. In our second match of the day, our alliance consisted of team 4204 Freedom Glider, team 2915 Pandamonium, and ourselves. Our opponents were team 1540 Flaming Chickens, team 5468 Chaos Theory, and team 2550 Skynet. We also lost this match, 77-33. In our final qualifying match of the day, our alliance consisted of team 6343 Steel Ridge Robotics, team 7448 S.C. Robotics, and ourselves. The rival alliance was made up of team 4125 Confidential, team 6696 Cardinal Dynamics, and team 5977 Rosemary Rebels. We ended up losing this match 34-16. After that, we were the eighth seeds second pick, putting us in the quarterfinals with an alliance of team 4125 Confidential and team 847 PHRED. In Quarters 1 Match 1 and Quarters 1 Match 2 we were against seed 1, made up of team 4043 NerdHerd, team 1540 Flaming Chickens, and team 5198 Knight Tech. Q1M1 we scored points, disrupted the red alliance from scoring a point, and we climbed up to the top level. We unfortunately lost this round 78-52. In Q1M2, we did just as well, if not better, than we did in Q1M1, again climbing up to the top level. Unfortunately we ended up losing 84-56, ending our Wilsonville playoff career.
